This organization was created and operated largely as a representative body for and on behalf of female citizens of Louisiana. Often the representation centered around women in domestic violence situations as the organization funded many of the shelters state-wide.

After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2011 Lynette received her Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center in 2014.
